Phlebotomy Specialist II

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is the face of our company, representing Bayone to patients who come in for their health routine or life-defining health decisions. This role involves drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR II has direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. The PSR II demonstrates Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time
• Maintain a safe and professional environment
• Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens following established practices and procedures
• Verify patient demographic information and initials, including patient signature post-venipuncture
• Maintain required records and documentation

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime

• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training
• Phlebotomy certification
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment
• Keyboard/data entry experience

Work Schedule: 6:30am-3pm EST, Monday-Friday, with every other weekend. Reliable transportation and great communication and computer skills are required.
