Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatologist to join our team at the Children's Hospital of Richmond of the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System. As a Neonatologist, you will provide clinical care, teaching, and research opportunities in neonatal medicine. The ideal candidate will have experience in academic medicine, research, and quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care to high-risk infants and their families in our state-of-the-art NICU.
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in neonatal medicine.
  • Participate in scholarly research activities, including basic science, clinical, and translational research.
  • Serve on divisional, departmental, and School of Medicine level committees.
  • Engage in professional activities through journal review, conference presentations, and other academic pursuits.
Requirements
  • Board certification in pediatrics and board eligibility/certification in neonatal-perinatal medicine.
  • Experience in neonatal-perinatal clinical care.
  • Experience in an academic medical center.
  • Experience with scholarly research activities.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
  • NRP certification.
