As an Expanded Function Dental Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work at dental offices, orthodontic practices, and dental surgery centers, administering patient care during dental cleanings and oral surgery.

Key responsibilities include educating patients about procedures and dental maintenance, giving instructions for oral care, ordering x-rays and other scans, and reaching out to patients about scheduling routine appointments.

You will also be responsible for setting up dental exam tables, assisting during cleanings and fillings, and holding dental instruments like suction tubs and mirrors while the Dentist works.
