Position Overview
The ideal candidate for this position should be flexible to work morning shifts during weekdays and have weekend availability to assist as required.

The Retail Café/Kid's Spaces Attendant is tasked with ensuring a secure and enjoyable atmosphere for children while their parents shop, as well as preparing and serving food and beverages, all while upholding cleanliness for our guests and team members.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties: The following responsibilities are integral to this role. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
  • Welcome guests warmly and take their food and drink orders.
  • Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, cutting, and assembling pre-packaged food items.
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of perishable items.
  • Provide detailed descriptions of menu items and recommend products to guests.
  • Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to guest preferences.
  • Operate the cash register and credit card processing equipment.
  • Adhere to all food safety and health regulations.
  • Implement procedures to minimize food spoilage and waste.
  • Restock supplies, place orders, and manage inventory.
  • Maintain cleanliness of food preparation tools, including thorough cleaning and sanitizing before and after use.
  • Ensure all surfaces involved in food handling, such as counters and microwaves, are kept clean.
  • Promptly address any spills or leaks that occur.
  • Keep service and seating areas tidy.
  • Follow all Kid's Spaces Standard Operating Procedures, including child restrictions and check-in/out protocols.
  • Utilize all tools in accordance with company standards and follow check-out/in processes.
Qualifications

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-traffic, customer-facing retail environment or a related service field is preferred. A combination of education and experience will also be considered.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary for successful job performance.

Certifications: A Food Handler Permit and Alcohol Beverage Certification as required by state and local regulations are mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range serves as a guideline for reasonable pay for this position. Actual pay will be influenced by various factors, including the applicant's education, relevant experience, skills, and internal equity. Living Spaces reserves the right to adjust this pay range as necessary. Compensation is determined by market demand, applicable skills, work experience, education, location, company budget, and in-demand skill sets.

Compensation: $19.65 per hour.

Team members in Retail, Guest Services, and Distribution Centers may qualify for team bonuses based on achieving specific goals and KPIs.
