The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-South. As a key member of our healthcare team, the RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and monitor patient vital signs.
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Observe and maintain accurate records of patient care, condition, and progress.
- Participate in patient care planning and implementation, and provide leadership and direction to support staff.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Texas State RN License.
- One year of experience in nursing preferred, with a strong focus on patient care and safety.
- CPR (American Heart Association) certification, and completion of NIHSS, ACLS, and PALS training within specified timeframes.

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-South is a 158-bed hospital located in south Corpus Christi, offering a range of medical and surgical services, including pediatrics, obstetrics, skilled nursing, emergency, and intensive care. Our hospital is also home to a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, providing specialized care for premature or special needs babies.
