Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Globus Medical. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing processes for our medical devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Development: Develop and implement new manufacturing processes, including creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), for machine and/or equipment operation.
  • Design Reviews: Participate in design reviews to ensure that designs meet manufacturing requirements and are producible.
  • Manufacturing Process Implementation: Implement manufacturing processes that require qualification and/or validation of new equipment or processes.
  • Supplier Interface: Interface with suppliers on technical issues and new product introductions.
  • Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Review designs/prints in both the development and production phases to ensure effective use of DFM/DFA/DFI, and collaborate with Development/Design Engineering, Quality Engineering, QC/metrology, Programmers, and machinists to create designs and drawings.
  • Business Process Development: Develop business processes and metrics and tracking tools for deliverables the department is responsible for completing.
  • Engineering Change Process: Execute the Engineering Change Process and implement process updates and improvement efforts.
Requirements
  • Education: Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Experience in 21 CFR 820 and/or ISO 13485 regulated environment preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ability to effectively influence others, develop consensus, and create support throughout the organization, demonstrated ability to implement, maintain, analyze, and react to various production performance metrics and KPIs, and demonstrated ability and fluency in Print Reading and GD&T, Statistical Process Control, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Gage/fixture design.
