Job Summary:

As a Production Supervisor at Justice Cannabis Co, you will oversee the daily operations of our trim, packaging, and processing teams. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure efficient workflow and productivity while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage staff performance, providing direction, training, and support as needed to meet production goals.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local cannabis regulations, company policies, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Oversee production processes, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met.
  • Manage packaging operations, ensuring product accuracy, labeling compliance, and proper storage to maintain product freshness and integrity.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth production processes and meet operational deadlines.
  • Track and maintain production records, including weight and quality checks, packaging counts, and batch traceability for compliance reporting.
  • Inspect equipment and tools used in production to ensure proper functionality and safety.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste during trimming and packaging.
  • Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and train team members on procedures, safety practices, and product quality standards.
  • Coordinate scheduling and staffing for production shifts to meet production goals.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure all finished products meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Address and resolve any operational challenges that may arise in the production process.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the cannabis industry or a similar production environment.
  • Strong understanding of cannabis plant anatomy and post-harvest processing, including trimming, drying, curing, and packaging.
  • Knowledge of state and local cannabis regulations related to processing, packaging, and labeling.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop employees.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on quality control and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a production environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High level of integrity and a strong work ethic.
