Position Overview
The Retail Sales Specialist will play a vital role in supporting major retail outlets for Oldcastle. We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated individual who can deliver exceptional assistance to Department, Store, and District Managers.
- Develops, organizes, and maintains a consistent daily and weekly schedule for customer engagements, ensuring efficient store visits that align with customer expectations while optimizing cost-effectiveness.
- Regularly assesses inventory levels within stores through cycle counts and various reports, collaborating with customer service and replenishment teams to address any discrepancies.
- Engages in regional training sessions and company events to enhance product knowledge and skills.
- Leads and participates in diverse customer engagement activities, including demonstration clinics, product knowledge sessions, contractor events, weekend promotions, and community outreach initiatives.
- Constructs and installs product displays and manages new store resets effectively.
- Ensures products are safely stacked and secured to maintain safety standards.
- Offers insights and suggestions to supervisors and team members to optimize shelf space and product presentation.
Qualifications
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to customer locations and local Oldcastle facilities as necessary.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to utilize basic hand and power tools.
- Willingness to travel daily to various company and customer locations, with some overnight travel required.
Physical Requirements
- Capability to lift weights up to 80 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, perform repetitive motions, and work from heights.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
