Job Title: Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician

Trident Seafoods is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct standardized tests on products and materials to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer specifications, and international, federal, and state regulations.
  • Document data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with HACCP standards and company policies and procedures.
  • Record test data such as weights, temperatures, moisture content, qualities, and quantities inspected or graded.
  • Apply proper acceptance/rejection criteria and mark items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.
  • Audit production facility and review employee behavior for proper sanitation.
  • Communicate significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provide recommended process improvements to Production/QA Management.
  • Prepare reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities to production.
  • Identify work-related problems and recommend effective solutions as appropriate.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Acquire knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
  • Notify designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in food processing.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 years of experience in food processing.
  • 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance in a food processing facility.
Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee moves objects regularly up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
