Our expanding national network includes a main campus in Los Angeles, various clinical care sites throughout Southern California, and additional treatment centers in major cities across the country.

Position Overview

The Hematology unit is focused on delivering comprehensive care to individuals diagnosed with blood cancers, including leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. Our specialized team is also adept at managing patients receiving CAR T therapy and those involved in clinical research studies. We utilize a multidisciplinary approach, engaging medical oncologists, hematologists, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.

This role involves working 12-hour shifts, specifically designated for the night shift, commencing at 7:00 PM. The position offers shift differentials of up to $6.50 per hour and weekend differentials reaching $14.40 per hour.

Sign-on Bonus

We are pleased to offer a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Evaluation and Monitoring: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with hematologic malignancies, including physical examinations and symptom evaluations. Monitor vital signs and laboratory results to identify any changes in patient condition.
  • Chemotherapy Administration: Administer chemotherapy and other systemic treatments following established protocols. Ensure precise dosing, monitor for side effects, and provide supportive care to mitigate treatment-related complications.
  • Symptom Management: Assess and manage symptoms related to hematologic malignancies and their treatments, including pain, nausea, and anemia. Administer medications and offer comfort measures while educating patients on self-care techniques.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and potential side effects. Provide guidance on managing treatment-related symptoms and accessing support services.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement personalized care plans for patients. Coordinate appointments, diagnostic tests, and specialist consultations to ensure continuity of care.
