We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team of traveling healthcare professionals. This is a 13-week contract assignment in Lakeport, CA, offering a competitive pay package and a chance to work with a reputable agency.

About the Position

As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating total nursing care and functions in accordance with established philosophy. You will provide and direct patient care for a group of patients, relating effectively with other shifts and departments for optimal continuity of care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient and family level of understanding to provide effective communication and education
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate the nursing plan of care
  • Manage both emotional and physical patients
  • Work collaboratively with medical staff
  • Provide quality care in a compassionate and professional manner
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and listening skills, exhibit major team player qualities, and be willing to assist others when needed. You should maintain a positive attitude toward work and others, perform routine duties independent of supervision, and consult with others as required.
