Job Summary

As an Audit Intern at RSM Global, you will work with large and small companies in various industries, developing strong working relationships with clients built on understanding their businesses and challenges.

You will work on multiple team engagements each year, including several pieces of any particular assignment - not just one part.

Responsibilities
  1. Understand clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values, and industry-related GAAP and GAAS issues.
  2. Develop an understanding of the RSM audit approach and tools.
  3. Assess risks and evaluate the client's internal control structure.
  4. Perform substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues.
  5. Draft financial statements under prescribed formats.
Requirements
  1. 90 credit hours completed.
  2. Working towards B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
  3. Accounting Major.
  4. Travel to assigned client locations is required.
  5. Must have access to and ability to arrange for use of reliable modes of transportation to those locations.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. A minimum 3.0 GPA.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  4. Ability to work effectively on a team.
  5. Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role.

The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc.

As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $37 - $44 per hour
