Job Title: Master Mechanical CAD Designer

Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is seeking a skilled Master Mechanical CAD Designer to join our team. This role will be based at our Fayetteville, NC facility and offers relocation assistance.

The expected annual salary range for this position is $58,500 - $93,499.96.

Job Summary:

The primary function of this role is to provide mechanical design and documentation support for the Low Voltage Motor Control Center product line. This includes engineering designs, collaborating with application engineers and manufacturing associates, utilizing design automation software, and producing/maintaining manufacturing documentation.

This position will focus on all aspects of MCC order design requirements, including limited application engineering requirements, with some possibility to interface directly with Eaton sales force and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work to standard procedures or written and oral instructions from supervisor.
  2. Strong Mechanical aptitude as well as familiarity in reading schematic diagrams to determine mechanical design requirements and associated layouts.
  3. Manage Manufacturing and Engineering Change Notices.
  4. Demonstrate advanced computer skills with ability to learn required software (Bid Manager, AutoCAD, Design Automation, MAPICS).
  5. Interpret engineering work packages to develop mechanical design and manufacturing information packages.
  6. Address and resolve issues that surface with little to no supervision.
  7. Coordinate with different levels of the organization to ensure schedules are met.
  8. Detailed Bill of Material reviews for editing and accuracy.
  9. Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects/assignments/duties.
Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma / GED with a minimum 5 years of engineering/designer experience OR an Associates degree or with minimum 2 years of engineering/designer experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and other engineering and design software programs.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
