A prominent financial services organization is in search of an Informatica IDQ Developer. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience with glossaries, mapping specifications, and data lineage. This role requires close collaboration with various teams to conduct data analysis and create reports and dashboards. The Informatica IDQ Developer must demonstrate expert capabilities in all aspects related to data quality and the development of metrics, scorecards, and data quality rules aimed at enhancing the overall integrity of data within our financial ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement processes that align with data quality standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Develop data profiles in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to standards by creating data dictionaries, documenting data quality lifecycles, employing standard naming conventions, and maintaining version control.
- Utilize matching component selection guidelines effectively.
- Possess both hands-on experience and the ability to articulate complex concepts and solutions to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Design, develop, and implement data profiles in various formats as specified.
- Integrate data quality results into business intelligence formats to facilitate easy interpretation of transactional data, client data, KPIs, and data quality metrics.
- Establish workflows to ensure timely data refresh and availability through the use of Informatica ETL.
- Integrate data for consumption in BI tools such as Tableau to report on predictive outcomes from analytical trends and modeling related to data flows and quality.
- Develop and maintain a strategy for managing large data volumes within departmental tools.
- Participate in design reviews of prototypes and applications prepared for production.
- Create a framework for provisioning data for business users who generate reports and those who are data consumers.
- Generate data quality reports and metrics utilizing Informatica data quality tools.
- Maintain existing IT infrastructure while optimizing and streamlining information flows and visualizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a regulated financial institution.
- Proficient in using the IDQ (Informatica Data Quality) suite for development and reporting.
- Familiarity with Informatica components necessary for operating Data Quality (PowerCenter experience required).
- Comprehensive understanding of data quality processes, methodologies, measurement techniques, and business cases, including profiling, cleansing, standardization, and match/merge.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing Informatica's Data Quality components (rules, glossaries, scorecards).
- Experience in integrating data quality transformations across architectures, enabling DQ services from multiple production applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong SQL proficiency with DB2, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Experience in designing Informatica PowerCenter mappings, workflows, and reusable mapplets.
- Experience in requirements gathering, collaborating with clients to identify analytical needs, and developing data-driven tools to meet those needs.
- Experience with predictive and prescriptive data analytics, including regression analysis and simulation.
- Expertise in designing, building, and representing complex databases and data models.
- Proficient in researching, developing, and supporting data visualization techniques.
