Job Summary

The Veterinary Receptionist is the primary point of contact for clients and patients at Normandy Animal Hospital. This role requires a skilled and compassionate individual to provide exceptional customer service, manage front desk operations, and support the veterinary team in delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Service: Greet clients and patients in a positive and welcoming manner, creating a warm and inviting environment.
  • Front Desk Operations: Manage incoming phone calls, schedule patient appointments, and process patient intake and discharge.
  • Cash Handling: Reconcile the cash drawer daily, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Patient Education: Educate clients about wellness plans and patient care as directed by the veterinary medicine team.
  • Medical Records: Prepare and maintain thorough and accurate medical charts for all patients, meeting hospital quality control standards.
  • Team Support: Maximize the efficiency of the veterinary team by effectively managing patient flow and creating a clean and organized reception area.
Customer Service Delivery
  • Professional Service: Consistently provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service to clients and patients.
  • Communication: Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills when interacting with the veterinary team and clients.
  • Adaptability: Effectively adapt to individual clients and their needs, providing personalized service and support.
  • Conflict Resolution: Effectively resolve customer complaints as needed, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1+ years of customer service experience, with front desk experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work independently and exercise good judgment, and proficiency in basic computer software systems.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb, with good hand-eye coordination and arm-hand-finger dexterity.
