Dragados is a leading international contractor with a rich history dating back to 1941. As a Cost Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the success of our major infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include preparing forecast projections, monitoring performance productivities, analyzing deviations, and supporting estimate claims. You will work closely with the area project manager and cost & forecast manager to ensure the project stays on track.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare support and backup for change orders and claims in coordination with the contract manager and cost manager.
  • Revised remaining quantities for forecast analysis and provide monthly performed quantities to the progress engineer.
  • Prepare and review pre-closing and closing files requested by the branch office.
  • Ensure project charges are correctly represented for accounting's closing process.
  • Monthly follow-up to prepare the SPE follow-up report in coordination with the project manager.
  • Hold weekly cost meetings with field supervisors and area PM to analyze incurred productivity, cost, and deviations.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience within a construction firm.
  • Knowledge in HCSS or other estimating software preferred.
  • Strong command of Microsoft office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to learn and ability to receive instruction and apply knowledge to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
