Job Summary:
We're seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to design and implement robust backend systems that support immersive experiences. Ideal candidates will bring technical expertise, a passion for entertainment technology, and the ability to lead development efforts within a creative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement efficient backend code to support core functionality of immersive applications.
- Implement complex data storage solutions and ensure seamless data flow across various systems and platforms.
- Develop and optimize internal tools and applications that support studio operations and creative processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and achieve technical requirements and creative goals.
- Optimize data handling and streaming for real-time interactive environments.
- Implement security best practices to protect user data and company IP.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering an environment of innovation and growth.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development (with at least 2 years in a senior role, a plus).
- Proficient in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or similar.
- Experience with database management and data caching technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Redis, etc.).
- Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and API design.
- Experience developing high-traffic, scalable applications.
- Familiarity with the unique challenges of real-time data transmission and management in real-time environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced studio environment.
What We Offer:
The typical base salary for this position ranges from $125,000 - $150,000 annually.
