Certification and Licensure Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold current certification as an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registered technologist and maintain licensure as required by the state. Additionally, a BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory. A preferred certification is the MRI Registry, and the candidate is expected to obtain an advanced A.R.R.T. registry in MRI within one year of hire.

Job Summary

This position involves performing specialized MRI procedures on patients, resulting in diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist. The successful candidate will provide patient care essential to these procedures, apply principles of MR safety, and maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Education and Experience

The candidate must have completed an accredited Radiography program and possess a minimum of two years of experience in pediatric radiology/imaging. Excellent communication and patient care skills are essential for this role.Preferred Qualifications

GE 1.5 and 3T experience is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of productivity.

Work Schedule and Requirements

This position requires a 5 x 8 evening shift schedule with rotating call, potentially including weekends. The candidate must be able to work a minimum of 36 hours per week and be available for call as required by the facility.

Equipment and Software

The Mercy Hospital South facility utilizes GE 1.5 and GE 3T MRI equipment and the Visage PACS system. The candidate must be proficient in using these systems and have a basic understanding of EPIC, the electronic medical record system.
