Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and support to our consulting business in the Americas, including negotiating and drafting commercial contracts with key strategic partners and clients.
  • Assist the Legal team with a wide range of legal matters, including support on M&A transactions, regulatory and intellectual property issues.
  • Develop and maintain agreement templates for the consulting business, ensuring they reflect changes to new or amended laws and markets, industry trends and practices.
  • Deliver legal and best practice training to the consulting business, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to operate effectively.
  • Interact and collaborate with internal team members and stakeholders on other legal matters impacting the consulting business, including information security, privacy, and the management and protection of our intellectual property.
Requirements:
  • 6-10 years of commercial law experience as an associate in a top law firm or corporation, with a strong working knowledge of commercial and intellectual property law.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with Portuguese a plus.
  • University and law school degrees, qualified to practice law in Mexico or any other applicable U.S. or other relevant common law jurisdiction.
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stay current with rapidly evolving industry trends and practices, as they relate to commodities, intellectual property, technology, privacy, and anti-trust.
What We Offer:

S&P Global offers a competitive salary range of $118,094 to $207,348.5, based on experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. We also offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
