Zink Holdings LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to assist our Finishing Engineers. This is a full-time role, working Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm. In this practical position, you will serve as a hands-on technician, troubleshooting and optimizing equipment calibrations to ensure our production machinery operates at peak efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in Discrepancy Report meetings.
- Possess a foundational understanding of inventory management systems, including ERP/MRP.
- Generate item numbers and organize storage bins.
- Revise product descriptions as necessary.
- Conduct bin transfers and update lot statuses.
- Perform internal calibrations in Finishing and maintain supporting documentation.
- Work with various equipment including scales, calipers, checkweighers, ovens, and Keyence systems.
- Develop, refine, and troubleshoot programs for Keyence vision systems.
- Compile monthly yield calculations and efficiency reports using Excel.
- Update manual batch tickets with new product information and labeling details.
- Create, modify, and print labels for finishing using BarTender software.
- Draft and revise procedures and other controlled documents.
- Conduct testing and document results for research and development initiatives.
- Prepare and ship samples to research and development teams.
- Manage the preparation and shipping of samples and returns to domestic customers and suppliers.
- Provide oversight and analysis of variance reports during annual physical counts.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive attitude, a keen interest in our equipment, and a commitment to understanding operational manuals and best practices. A sense of urgency in troubleshooting and resolving issues is essential.
