We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Director to join our team at GeorgiaGov. As a Forensic Director, you will be responsible for leading our forensic mental health services and ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and implement policies and procedures related to forensic mental health services.
- Direct and coordinate the delivery of health services, including monitoring and evaluating healthcare programs.
- Direct subordinate managers and staff, ensuring that community health care services are adequate, appropriate, and accessible.
- Develop long and short-term goals for the health agency and participate in the agency's strategic and operational planning.
- Interview, hire, direct, train, evaluate, and discipline health care employees as needed.
- Maintain awareness of advances in medicine, computerized diagnostic and treatment equipment, data processing technology, government regulations, health insurance charges, and financing options.
- Manage human resources and direct administrative activities for health care employees, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of services and programs.
- Oversee the planning, development, scheduling, and implementation of health care programs and activities.
- Participate in the development and administration of budgets.
- Perform community assessments and develop policies and plans based on data collection, activity reports, planning documents, program plans, and objectives.
- Plan and organize program structure and policies to meet organizational and programmatic objectives.
- Plan, organize, and direct the work of the unit(s) to provide continuous active treatment to the patients served.
- Set priorities and implement goals and objectives to meet or resolve identified health problems.
- Doctorate in an applied psychology degree and license to practice psychology in the State of Georgia.
- Experience in the field of forensic psychology and management of psychological or forensic psychological services.
- Forensic experience required.
- Vacation: 15 days each year up to 5 years of service; 18 days each year from 5-10 years of service; 21 days each year for 10+ years of service.
- Sick Leave: accrual at a rate of 10 hours per month (15 days each year).
