About the Role:

As a Cashier at Floor & Decor, you will be the first and last point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional customer service through greeting, checking out, handling returns, and performing basic cash office functions. You will be responsible for creating a positive and welcoming experience for every customer, ensuring they feel valued and supported throughout their shopping journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet every customer in a friendly and courteous manner, making them feel welcome and valued.
  • Connect with customers, ask about their projects, and recommend our products to excite them about their purchase.
  • Provide above-and-beyond customer service, exceeding customer expectations and demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
  • Demonstrate and understand compliance with the company's safety processes, ensuring a safe working environment for all.
  • Process customers at checkout using the point-of-sale system, handling refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines.
  • Open and close registers, following established cash, check, and credit card acceptance procedures.
  • Answer the telephone according to company guidelines, providing timely and accurate information to customers.
  • Stock, tag, and display merchandise as required, creating a visually appealing and well-organized store environment.
  • Be able to create price tags and merchandise signs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for customers.


Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Knowledge of basic math skills.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Potential travel to other stores for support.


Working Conditions:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.


Physical/Sensory Requirements:

  • Medium Work - Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
