Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse ECMO coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care, performing Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) therapy to support patients with impaired heart and lung function. As an advocate for patients, you will work closely with the medical team to ensure that each patient receives the best possible care.
Responsibilities:- Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
- Prepare and operate clinical equipment and circuitry per ECMO policies.
- Maintain and assess ECMO circuit function.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and recommend revisions to the multidisciplinary care team.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
- ECMO certification required.
- New Hampshire Registered Nurse license or active compact RN license required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
