Aerospace Material Handler Job Description

At Umanist Staffing LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in the aerospace industry, responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of materials and supplies necessary for aircraft production and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Material Receipt and Storage: Receive, inspect, and store materials and supplies in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Material Transportation: Utilize forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to transport materials safely and efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure accurate documentation of all incoming and outgoing materials, monitor inventory levels, and conduct cycle counts as needed.
  • Material Preparation: Prepare materials for shipping, including packaging and labeling, to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Quality and Safety: Follow safety procedures and guidelines for handling hazardous materials, identify and report any quality or inventory discrepancies, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a material handler, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of aerospace materials, tools, and parts, ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, understanding of inventory management and control, basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation, familiarity with safety regulations and procedures, physical strength and stamina to handle materials and equipment, and strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Aerospace manufacturing, forklift operation, inventory management, safety regulations, teamwork, time management, and regulations are essential skills for this role.
