About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at DAn Solutions, Inc. in Annapolis Junction, MD, or Sterling, VA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, maintain, and test infrastructure for desktop application packaging and deployment technologies.
  • Engineer solutions for baseline VDI builds to ensure upgrades are incorporated before operating system (OS) end-of-life.
  • Collaborate with Government regarding technical considerations for problems, issues, or conflicts.
  • Manage Citrix products (Virtual Apps, Virtual Desktops, ADC, Provisioning) and operate scripting skills in PowerShell or Python.
  • Provide Tier 3 and above support as needed (troubleshooting, problem resolution support, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)).
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for VDI solutions, processes, and procedures related to engineering projects.
Requirements
  • Experience performing engineering work associated with the design, development, maintenance, and testing of infrastructure for desktop application packaging and deployment technologies.
  • Knowledge of Citrix XenApp, AppLayering, and/or Enterprise Layer Manager (ELM).
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Clustering Failover.
  • Knowledge of cloud, networking, and enterprise architectures.
  • Expertise in the Windows 10 area - Standard Operating Environment (SOE), imaging, evergreen, etc.
  • Required certification: CWS-215: Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7 Administration On-Premises and in Citrix Cloud, Azure.
  • Preferred certification(s): Managing Modern Desktops (MD-101), Windows 2019 Server Deployment, Remote Desktop Services (RDS), Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (1Y0-312).
