University Hospitals Pain Management is seeking a skilled Physician/Hospitalist to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our medical programs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Direct Patient Care: Conduct physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for patients within a recognized area of practice or for a specified patient population.
- Prescribe Appropriate Treatment: Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as necessary to address assessed medical conditions.
- Collaborate with Colleagues: Refer patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as required, and train and supervise medical students and residents engaged in specialty activities and procedures.
- Manage Daily Operations: Oversee the daily operations of a specific medical program, patient care unit, or research function, and direct and coordinate the patient care activities of nursing and support staff.
- Meet Departmental Objectives: Adhere to established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, and maintain faculty status in good standing with the CWRU SOM (if applicable).
- Medical Degree: Possess a medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification: Hold primary board certification in Internal Medicine.
- Experience: Possess relevant experience in hospital medicine, with a strong track record of providing high-quality patient care.
