Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Coffee Expert to join our team at Brookshire Grocery Company. As a Coffee Connoisseur, you will be responsible for preparing, brewing, and serving high-quality coffee and related products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to quality control and food safety standards by stocking and rotating coffee and related goods.
• Prepare, brew, and serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, and teas, by following recipes and preparation techniques.
• Promote product sales through the use of suggestive selling initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to company safety procedures.
• Provide friendly and customer-service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, and taking orders by phone and in person.

Requirements

• Ability to read and operate digital equipment, meters, dials, and/or calibrated scales.
• Ability to safely operate hazardous tools and equipment such as an espresso machine, coffee grinder, commercial ovens, etc.
• Ability to learn new systems, methods, or processes.
• Ability to use precision and non-precision hand tools.
• Ability to work well with fellow partners and promote a team environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and partners in written and verbal form.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Work Environment

• Work is generally performed in a retail store.
• Frequently exposed to hot surfaces.
• Occasionally exposed to extreme cold conditions (non-weather).
• Occasionally exposed to extreme heat conditions (non-weather).
• Occasionally exposed to wet, slippery, or damp conditions.
• Occasionally exposed to cleaning agents.
