About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Derivatives Associate to join our team at State Street Corporation. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial data and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and process Derivatives related events to ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Collaborate with Client Operations and other operational Shared Service teams/Center of Excellence (COE's) to drive process improvement initiatives and changes based on business strategy requirements.
  • Accumulate, retain, and use knowledge of OTC derivatives associated with process to drive operational efficiencies and re-engineering initiatives.
  • Manage new business transitions or business migration activities and ensure proper implementation within the team.
  • Build relationships with internal & external clients and foster a culture of collaboration within the team.
  • Coach and offer help to less experienced staff to drive learning and development initiatives.
  • Work closely with inter-departmental contacts to ensure that required deliverables are delivered with high quality.
  • Identify risk issues, breaches, and act in accordance with the 'risk' escalation chain and operating procedures.
  • Resolution of queries with internal teams, clients, vendors, counterparties, etc.
  • Be accountable for assigned tasks and deadlines for self and for the team.
  • Be accountable for staff on-boarding, leave planning, and turnover of the team.
  • Foster an environment of learning and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree or above.
  • 3+ years experience in financial services and/or a back-office operations environment.
  • Strong Excel skills would be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of financial concepts (Derivatives and Regulation).
