Occupational Therapy Assistant, PRN Position

This is a full-time position with the South Dakota Human Services Center. The Occupational Therapy Assistant, under the guidance of a registered occupational therapist, provides community preparedness outings, groups, and one-on-one therapeutic activities to further independence of individuals with a mental illness and facilitate their progress toward discharge to a less restrictive environment.

Primary working hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. but may vary according to needs of the facility.

The position is eligible for Veterans' Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08.

Occupational Therapy Assistants must be licensed by the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners as specified in SDCL 36-31 and certified by the National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy.
