Role Overview:


Facilitate the Risk Management Framework (RMF) workflow and procedures by proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information system security protocols, guidelines, standards, and methodologies.


  • Assess and authorize customer requests related to access, devices, and other permissions.
  • Maintain up-to-date system information in XACTA to support organizational needs and processes. Evaluate the implications of network and system modifications using RMF methodologies and approve necessary changes.
  • Oversee multiple initiatives throughout the Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) lifecycle from conception to Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • Collaborate with system stakeholders to address system vulnerabilities identified in Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
  • Provide recommendations to stakeholders regarding deviations from the established system configuration baseline.
  • Conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to the System Security Plan (SSP).
  • Ensure that configuration management for security-critical IS software, hardware, and firmware is maintained and documented appropriately.
  • Monitor system recovery processes to guarantee that security features and procedures are effectively restored.
  • Ensure that all IS security-related documentation is current and accessible to authorized personnel.
  • Formally inform relevant individuals when changes occur that may impact authorization.
  • Engage in governance and project reviews as identified by the customer.
  • Strong documentation skills are essential for creating and updating policies, process documentation, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with XACTA 360, Continuum, and other SCAP Compliant tools is preferred.
  • Proven experience with RMF, ICD 503, CNSSI 1253, NIST SP 800-53/53A, and STIGs.
Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related discipline

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NCSF)
