  • Monitor system performance and address any issues that arise.
  • Create and manage user accounts, ensuring proper access control.
  • Install and upgrade software and operating systems as necessary.
  • Conduct regular backups and maintain data integrity.
  • Collaborate with network engineers to ensure seamless operation of the IT infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users.
  • Document system configurations and any changes made.
  • Implement and uphold security measures to safeguard systems and data.
  • Conduct periodic system audits to ensure compliance with security policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant IT field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in System Administration, particularly with Oracle, Unix, and Linux systems.
  • Proven ability to lead technical discussions and drive troubleshooting efforts to resolution.
  • Expertise in Unix system administration, Red Hat Linux, Oracle Linux, and storage management (ZFS, LVM, Veritas).
  • Proficient in scripting/programming for system administration in at least one of the following languages: Bourne shell, Perl, Python, or Java.
  • Experience with Ansible, particularly in supporting build and patch automation for RHEL and OEL.
  • Familiarity with Red Hat PCS clustering.
  • Willingness to work extended hours or modified schedules for planned or emergency tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and drive initiatives to completion with minimal oversight.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with OS clustering technologies, including Veritas Infoscale, Oracle Clusterware, and/or Red Hat PCS.
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata systems.
