About the Job

This is a part-time opportunity to provide health services and support to students and staff in our schools. As a Substitute School Nurse, you will work closely with healthcare providers, parents, and school district staff to ensure access and continuity of care for students.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with pediatric populations and be able to assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions to promote student health and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first aid and nursing care to students who are ill or injured.
  • Collect information about student health development status for compliance with state immunization regulations.
  • Conduct school programs of immunization, physical examinations, and sight and hearing testing.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare providers, parents, and school district staff to ensure access and continuity of care for students.
Requirements
  • RN license required.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations preferred.
  • Ability to diagnose and provide care for ill or injured students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
