Job Summary

The ideal candidate for this role should have a bachelor's degree in microbiology or a related field and possess a Public Health Microbiologist certificate issued by the California State Department of Health, Laboratory Field Services. You will perform a variety of technical laboratory examinations to detect and identify microbial disease agents in support of general public health and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory examinations to detect and identify microbial disease agents
  • Work with experienced staff to learn and develop expertise in laboratory techniques
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of laboratory results and experiments
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures and protocols
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in microbiology or a related field
  • Public Health Microbiologist certificate issued by the California State Department of Health, Laboratory Field Services
  • Experience working in a laboratory setting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
