About Adams and Associates
Adams and Associates is a fully employee-owned organization that prioritizes service and results. Established in 1990, our mission has been to manage programs for at-risk youth and children on behalf of local, state, and federal agencies. We have grown to become one of the largest workforce providers in the federal Job Corps initiative.
With a workforce exceeding 2,000 across the nation, we serve approximately 9,000 young individuals aged 16 to 24 each year, primarily in residential settings. Our academic and vocational training programs are accredited and lead to nationally recognized credentials.
Are you passionate about education and committed to nurturing the next generation? We invite you to consider joining our team as an Academic Instructor at the Miami Job Corps Center. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering training to students in the Career Education Center. You will create individualized achievement plans and academic objectives to support student success. Working alongside CTT Instructors, you will integrate applied academics into CTT curricula to enhance learning outcomes. It is essential to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information and uphold the integrity of student data at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute lesson plans that accommodate the diverse learning styles and requirements of our students.
- Establish a supportive and inclusive educational environment that promotes active engagement and critical thinking.
- Employ innovative teaching strategies and technology to enrich the learning experience.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to students needing additional assistance.
- Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to ensure a comprehensive approach to student development.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, offering constructive feedback to encourage continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive and motivating atmosphere that inspires students to achieve their full potential.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.
- A valid in-state teaching certificate or waiver is necessary.
- Previous teaching or Job Corps experience is preferred.
