Airport Director

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Airport Operations Manager to join our team at ADK Consulting & Executive Search. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the safety, security, maintenance, and operations functions of all County-operated airports.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Direct and indirect supervision of lower-level management, supervisory, technical, operational, and/or clerical staff
- Selection, training, motivation, and evaluation of assigned personnel
- Implementation of discipline and termination procedures
- Planning and Coordination
- Development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for assigned programs
- Recommendation and administration of policies and procedures
- Identification of opportunities for improving service delivery methods and procedures
- Operations and Maintenance
- Overseeing and participating in the development of the division's annual budget
- Participation in forecasting funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies
- Monitoring and approval of expenditures
- Security and Emergency Response
- Management and administration of agreements and contracts for provision of services
- Development and implementation of a system-wide preventive maintenance program
- Coordination with other agencies/divisions to develop, plan, prioritize, review, approve, and oversee projects
- Communication and Representation
- Representation of the Director of Airports in their absence
- Assistance in the preparation of ordinances for airfield rules and regulations, automobile traffic and parking rates and changes
- Enforcement of federal, state, and local rules and regulations governing airport use
- Education
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Experience
- Five (5) years of full-time paid management experience involving airport ground operations
