Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Certified Coder to work as a consultant on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes and be able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Verify insurance coverage and make any necessary corrections in Allscripts
  • Identify missing encounter forms and information, including ICD9 and CPT codes
  • Run daily reconciliation reports of unbilled encounters
  • Check laboratory billing for proper billing of encounters
  • Answer billing questions from patients, registrars, or receptionists
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes
  • 3-5 years of coding experience
  • Able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
