Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to join our team at Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. This role is responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic radiography imaging procedures to provide data for diagnosis and monitoring of disease and injuries in accordance with all applicable standards, regulations, and licensing requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform diagnostic radiography imaging tests as prescribed by physicians and providers, determining proper techniques to ensure optimal results in accordance with all applicable standards and procedures.
  2. Perform regular equipment calibration and maintenance in accordance with established instructions, identifying and troubleshooting malfunctions to ensure continuous proper and safe operations.
  3. Finalize functions, including limited coding using radiology information system (RIS) to provide for timely and accurate patient information and charge capture, and archive records in accordance with Radiologist specifications.
  4. Maintain professional and technical competency through constantly pursuing knowledge and self-improvement by remaining apprised of current literature, practices, and new developments in the fields covered by diagnostic imaging.
  5. Provide diagnostic radiography safety information to patients, families, and all other affected parties to ensure thorough understanding of procedure protocols.
Requirements
  • Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiology program.
  • Current ARRT registration.
  • Current Arizona Department of Health Services Medical Radiologic Technologists License: Certified Radiologic Technologist.
  • Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a team environment, inter-departmental and inter-organizational, as well as independently to provide the best of care through effective communication and operational efficiency.

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

The position requires the ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance and to work in a variety of settings, including acute care pediatric-centered settings.

The successful candidate will be required to work in a team environment and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
