Vascular Sonographer

Job Summary

The Noninvasive Vascular Technologist performs ultrasound examinations in a hospital setting, demonstrating the skills and knowledge to assess technical data reflective of patient status relative to age and specific needs, and to assist in the interpretation of same, providing preliminary impressions as appropriate.

Delivers quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner. Works effectively to maintain an environment of excellence, which is patient-focused, providing timely, compassionate, quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs noninvasive vascular ultrasound examinations.
• Produces quality images following appropriate protocols and procedures.
• Provides and maintains clinical documentation per scope of practice.
• Educates patients/families regarding the procedure and/or treatment to be performed.
• Positions the patient and completes the procedure.

Requirements

• Program Graduate, Accredited Sonography Program (Preferred)
• Associates Degree, Accredited Sonography Program (Preferred)
• Bachelors Degree, Accredited Sonography Program (Preferred)
• 1 year Imaging experience (Preferred)
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire (Required)
• ARDMS-RVT Registered Vascular Technician Upon Hire (Required) or CCI-RVS Registered Vascular Specialist Upon Hire (Required) or R.T.(R)(VS)(ARRT) Vascular Sonography Upon Hire (Required)
