Key Responsibilities

  • Waste Management: Empty trash receptacles and recycling bins throughout the facility, disposing of waste properly and replacing liners as needed.
  • Supply Management: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and restroom amenities, notifying management of any shortages or maintenance issues.
  • Safety Procedures: Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a retail store environment.

Requirements
  • Physical Demands:
    • Ability to stand during the entire shift.
    • Must be able to lift and/or move, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
    • Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services, preferably in a retail or warehouse environment, is preferred but not required.
    • Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines related to cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
    • Thorough understanding of safety hazards, personal protection equipment (PPE), and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
