Medical Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing laboratory analysis following documented procedures. This includes performing PCR (polymerase chain reaction) based molecular assays, possessing basic knowledge of molecular biology and molecular technologies, and executing all tasks with attention to details.
Key responsibilities include verifying and reporting laboratory findings in a timely and accurate fashion, following all established regulations related to specimen processing, QC, lab safety, etc. A strong understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols is essential for this role.
Requirements for this position include an Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, a Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, related life science, or applied science field, and 1 year experience and/or training in a laboratory setting. ASCP certification is preferred.
