We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to fill the role of Weekend RN Supervisor at Granbury Care Center. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for overseeing the care and well-being of our residents, ensuring that our high standards of quality and compassion are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and direct nursing staff to ensure that resident care is delivered in accordance with our policies and procedures.
- Medication Management: Monitor and oversee the administration of medications, including ordering and reordering as needed.
- Resident Care Planning: Implement and manage resident care plans in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team.
- Treatment Administration: Perform and supervise treatments, including wound care and other therapeutic interventions.
- Documentation and Communication: Accurately and promptly document resident charts, transcribe physician orders, and communicate effectively with colleagues and families.
- Staff Management: Assume responsibility for staff nurse duties as needed, and participate in shift reports to ensure seamless communication.
- Quality and Safety: Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to infection control and body mechanic procedures, and respond to staffing shortages as needed.
- Investigations and Reporting: Manage investigations into resident variances, complete incident and variance reports, and contact families as necessary.
- Lab Orders and Results: Manage lab orders, lab results, and follow-up physician orders.
- Education and Licensure: Registered Nurse with required state licensure.
- Skills and Qualities: Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills; leadership qualities; good communication skills; ability to organize workflow, respond to emergencies, and note detail.
