We are seeking a skilled facilities maintenance specialist to join our team at Hanover County, VA. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and systems throughout the facility, ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff, inmates, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Inspection: Conduct regular inspections and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment and systems are functioning properly.
  • Repair and Replacement: Repair or replace complex mechanical equipment, including HVAC systems, and maintain all environmental control equipment.
  • Electrical Work: Perform electrical installations, repairs, and replacements, including wiring.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, be able to read and interpret technical documents, and have a basic understanding of plumbing and HVAC. A high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of experience in the field are required.
