Job Summary:
Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a skilled Dialysis Outpatient Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients undergoing dialysis treatment.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to assigned patients, including administering and monitoring dialysis treatments.
- Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters on dialysis flow sheets.
- Assist in developing and following the teaching plan to educate patients and families regarding end-stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, diet, and medications.
- Participate in staff meetings and assist in short-term and long-term patient care plan meetings.
- Acquire knowledge in current practice related to dialysis principles and technique by participating in scheduled in-service classes.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing (LPN, LVN)
- Current appropriate State licensure
- One year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
- Hemodialysis experience preferred but not required
- Successfully complete a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis
- Successfully complete CPR Certification
