About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staffing Specialist to join our team at Openwork. As a Staffing Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing and matching talent with clients, developing and maintaining client relationships, and growing the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment: Find talent from multiple sources, including direct recruiting, referrals, advertising, social media, and community involvement.
  • Interviewing: Conduct interviews and prepare talent for client interviews, if necessary.
  • Hiring: Place appropriately skilled talent on assignments following vetting, including interviews, background checks, drug screenings, skills assessments, and education and reference verifications.
  • Orientation: Conduct new talent orientations and check-ins as needed.
  • Talent Management: Coach and counsel talent on performance, attendance, and other expectations; complete disciplinary actions, such as write-ups and terminations, as needed; retain talent through regular QC checks, identifying career or development opportunities, and providing ongoing assignment and career support, skill enhancement, training, and recognition.
  • Account Management: Develop relationships with clients at multiple levels to retain and expand market share within accounts; visit clients to obtain a better understanding of their business, organization, processes, and KPIs; through regular QC checks, proactively ensure that customers' needs are being met and expectations exceeded.
  • Skill Marketing: Actively find candidates to skill market to generate new client leads and orders.
  • Branch Operations: Participate in daily team huddles (rotating lead); assist with timekeeping/payroll and administrative duties for assigned accounts and others in the absence of a team member; work with HR, payroll, and finance to resolve any matters related to UI, WC, safety, compliance, payroll, and invoicing; maintain accurate system documentation.
