Position Overview:
The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate closely with Attending Physicians to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and oversee patient care within both outpatient and inpatient settings at Deborah Heart and Lung Center.
This role involves working alongside a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, nursing staff, and technicians, to assess and manage patient health, ensuring exceptional care and satisfaction.
Experience Requirements:Mandatory:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in critical care or telemetry nursing.
Desirable:
Experience in cardiology, either as an Advanced Practice Provider or within nursing roles.
Orientation will be tailored according to individual experience.Educational Qualifications:
Mandatory:
A Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
Graduation from an ANA accredited School of Nursing is essential.Licenses and Certifications:
Mandatory:
A valid New Jersey license as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse Certification through a recognized specialty association.
Current BLS, ACLS, CDS, and DEA certifications are required.Approval of credentials and clinical privileges will follow established procedures.Essential Skills:
Mandatory:
Proficiency in electronic health records and database management is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; adept in computer usage; organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
Flexibility in scheduling to address patient and staff needs promptly.
Maintain ongoing education credits, fulfilling the required 20 hours of category 1 contact hours annually for nurse practitioner recertification. At least 50% of the total credits over a 5-year period must be obtained from an ANCC accredited provider.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Full-time, 80 hours per pay period. EOE
