About the RoleWe're seeking a skilled Radiology Tech to join our team, responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the highest level of patient care. As a Radiology Tech at Methodist Hospital Northeast, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, from pediatric to geriatric patients, and develop your skills in general diagnostic radiography, digital equipment operation, and PACS system knowledge.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans
- Maintain and troubleshoot radiologic equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and providing reassurance
- Assist radiologists during procedures, helping to put patients at ease
- Accommodate inpatients and urgent exams as needed
- Adhere to infection control and universal precautions, maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Certificate of Training in Radiologic Technology Program
- Associate's degree or higher in Radiologic Technology
- Current Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification from the Texas Medical Board
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care
