Transformative Opportunity for a Junior Loan Workout Specialist

At Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), we're seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our Special Assets Division as a Junior Loan Workout Specialist. This is an exceptional opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in loan workout and restructuring, working closely with our experienced team to drive business growth and minimize losses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze borrowers' and guarantors' financial statements, developing financial models to measure and monitor operating and financial performance, adherence to financial covenants, and ability to make debt service payments.
  • Collaborate with senior loan workout specialists to prepare timely borrower internal and regulatory rating recommendations, assign proper accrual status on allocated accounts, and submit reports to immediate supervisors and division managers.
  • Assist in developing, documenting, and implementing detailed action plans and workout strategies, including potential remedies, options, and legal actions for challenged credits in our portfolio.
  • Prepare and present high-quality written quarterly updates, analyses, and remediation strategy recommendations to immediate supervisors, division managers, bank officers, and committees.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in wholesale banking credit, rating agency, or turnaround consulting firm, preferably with a focus on leveraged finance.
  • Strong technical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and financial statement analysis software.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with minimal supervision and interact with management and colleagues.
