    9. Reports any observed or suspected breaches in sterile technique and takes appropriate action.
    10. Correctly utilizes, cares for, cleans, and sterilizes instruments, supplies, and equipment as instructed.
    11. Handles equipment and instruments appropriately to ensure availability and safety.
    12. Assists in maintaining adequate supplies in the operating room for immediate access during procedures.
    13. Supports the work area by cleaning, storing, packaging, and sterilizing instruments.
    14. Assists in the storage and stocking of supplies as directed.
    15. Keeps instrument cards and surgeons' preference cards updated.
    16. Responds promptly to meet the needs of patients and physicians.
    17. Documents patient care records and other forms in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
    18. Accurately informs others responsible for patient care about the patient's status.

Qualifications:

Required:

Surgical Technology Certification within 6 months of hire.

High school diploma or GED certification.

Completion of a surgical technician course.

Strong ethical and moral character references.

Preferred:

Associate degree in surgical technology.

Two years of previous Operating Room experience.

Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).
