The Job

As a Material and Process Engineer, you will work closely with our leadership to define and validate material selections for our standard compressor offerings, corrosion-resistant offerings, and specific customer applications. Your responsibilities will include analyzing corrosion potential, collaborating with analysts to perform FEA-based fatigue crack growth rate life analysis, and defining and guiding material test programs for expanding corrosive/aggressive environment capability for our compressors.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze corrosion potential and collaborate with analysts to perform FEA-based fatigue crack growth rate life analysis
• Define and guide material test programs for expanding corrosive/aggressive environment capability for our compressors
• Work with leadership to define and validate material selections for our standard compressor offerings, corrosion-resistant offerings, and specific customer applications

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Material Sciences or related field
• 8 years of experience in this or related fields
• Knowledge of material performance in aggressive environments: H2S, chlorides, CO2, hydrogen, etc, for Solar and industry standard materials
• Knowledge of industry-standard test procedures for material qualification
• Ability to guide compressor BOM material selections in a scientific and systematic manner
• Knowledge of fracture mechanics theory and application
