Job Summary

Merry Maids is seeking a skilled Housecleaner to join our team. As a Housecleaner, you will be responsible for cleaning customer homes using our unique cleaning procedures and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and dust homes, including baseboards, windowsills, and light fixtures.
  • Use Merry Maids cleaning products and procedures to clean and sanitize bathroom fixtures, showers, tubs, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and vanities.
  • Clean kitchen appliances, counters, cabinets, tables, and chairs.
  • Vacuum stairways and vacuum or sweep and then wash all hard surface floors on hands and knees using Merry Maids products and procedures.
  • Moves all reasonably moveable furniture in rooms to clean under and behind.
  • Carry cleaning products and equipment to and from offices, vehicles, and customers homes.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and fresh appearance of the office.
  • Assist Team Captain in refilling cleaning kit and performs required equipment maintenance at the end of the workday.
  • Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and contribute to the overall team effort of the company.
Requirements
  • Ability to differentiate between variously colored cleaning products by identifying the color or product name.
  • Ability to define specific uses of cleaning products.
  • Ability to read cleaning instructions indicated on customized service reports.
  • Ability to communicate with the Team Captain to ensure the customers expectations are met.
  • Ability to drive to and from various job sites as needed.
  • Ability to withstand regular physical contact with dog and cat hair, mold, dust, mildew, and cleaning solutions.
  • Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds of equipment in and out of an average of 4 homes a day, but as many as 6 homes a day.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet deadlines. The Housecleaner must be able to work independently and as part of a team. The Housecleaner must also be able to lift and carry equipment and to work in a variety of environments, including homes with stairs.

The Housecleaner will be required to wear a uniform and to maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times.

The Housecleaner will be required to attend weekly staff meetings and to participate in training and development programs as needed.

The Housecleaner will be required to pass a criminal background check, a motor vehicle records check, and a drug screening.
